Welcome to Lofthouse 2000 Brass Band

Thankyou for visiting Lofthouse 2000 Website.  We welcome players of all abilities to come and check us out, whether that’s part of our contesting team or to support our local communities with various events throughout the year.  We’d love to hear from you!

Thanks to our dedicated MD Lee Whitworth, the team has grown significantly over the last few years and we have a strong group of players , winning the Yorkshire 3rd Section Area Finals in 2022 and pre-covid triggering invitations to the Brass Band National Finals representing Yorkshire.  We like to have fun despite working hard to be the best we can so please do look at the opportunities available.

We have Vacancies!!

We are currently recruiting for the following positions.  

  • Bass Bb
  • Bass Trombone
  • Bass Eb
  • 2nd Cornet

We welcome all players of other instruments too as we look to grow the band and maintain full complement.  With regular events and concerts there is plenty of opportunity beyond the contests.

We are also looking to resurrect our Brass Roots band to allow those new to brass (or rusty) to learn an instrument with support from the wider Lofthouse team.  It doesn’t matter if you’re a complete beginner or looking to get back into playing after some time out we’d love to hear from you.  With instruments and tuition available this is a great alternative.  Please contact us with your details/interest as we build up a list of interested players and we’ll be in touch.
