Tim Whaley

Solo cornet

Tim started playing trumpet aged 9, playing with schools bands (+rest of family on trumpet, trombone, cello and bass) and later with a Renaissance quintet and a soul/blues band but teenage life became too busy and didn’t play again until 2021 when he joined Lofthouse after covid restrictions lifted!

After a 30 year break it took a little effort and time but progressed through the back row and now plays front row cornet. Quite the start with the band with National Finals at Cheltenham in Sept 2021, followed by regional win in 2022 and another Nationals appearance.
